HOW I GO ABOUT A COMMISSION AND THE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS
How does it work? Simple really. You can send me the copies of the best photos you have of your subject selecting the one you prefer (the others are for reference). But remember, I can only be as good as the reference material. In other words what cannot be seen cannot be painted! The other option is that I take the photos myself (you receive a CD of these). This is preferable since it allows me to see the true colours of the subject and get the correct angles and light. The choice is yours.
As all references for the subject are either done by me or supplied by you it ensures you will never come across the image anywhere else, unless it has been given to a third party to use.
There are several points to bear in mind:
1) Each painting is totally unique, there are no others the same, anywhere.
2) They are an investment which could increase in value.
3) Whilst you own the actual painting, I still retain copyright which means it cannot be published or commercially reproduced by you unless we have entered an agreement stating otherwise
4) All paintings are signed and dated by me and carry a certificate of origin.
5) I do not licence paintings for reproduction or make copies of any sort- there are no authorised copies, anywhere.
PLEASE NOTE: All images are copyright (2006) and may not be reproduced or published in any form without the prior written consent of Michael Newton or his agents.
That's about it. Have a look around and if you want ask me a question, leave me your comments or just chat about a painting and vehicles, contact me - I'll be pleased to hear from you.
